CENTERstage Productions is thrilled to present Patrick Hamilton's haunting masterpiece, Gaslight, directed by Joshuah Patriarco.
One of the greatest and most influential of all psychological thrillers, Gaslight tells the harrowing tale of one young woman’s battle to keep her sanity in the face of madness, murder and manipulation.
Set in a haunted Victorian mansion, in the era of Jack the Ripper, this legendary theatrical roller coaster has been a touchstone for generations of storytellers from the works of Alfred Hitchcock to modern horror classics such as "Hereditary" and "The Babadook."
Adapted into the classic film nominated for 7 Academy Awards, most famous for winning Ingrid Bergman her first Oscar for Best Actress, for launching the film career of a 19 year old Angela Lansbury, and for originating the term “gaslighting”, which could not be more relevant today. Gaslight is a riveting tour de force that stays with you long after the curtain comes down.
