The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck is pleased to present the Rhinebeck Theatre Society production of Still We Rise, a special one-weekend only engagement celebrating the poetry of Maya Angelou through contemporary new work.
In addition to interview clips and archival footage of Angelou herself, performances will feature original choreography, music, visual art, and theater by premiere Hudson Valley creators, including Willie Mae Brown, Angela Dixon, Amelia King, Manar Hashmi, Phyllis Harris, Jabez Jackson, Krieger Elementary School students, Jennelle Liscombe, Marlene Merritt, Marcus McGregor, Hristian Dsouza Michael, Ryan Michki, Michael Monasterial, Kitt Potter, Adam Reid, and Liz Thomas.
With special guest art from Arts Mid-Hudson's Still I Rise show, with Audrey Anastasi, Gülnar Babayeva, Harrison Brisbon-McKinnon, Dorothy Brodhead, Martial Davis, Priscilla DeConti, Marielena Ferrer, Katrina Ganpatt, Karen E. Gersch, LotuZ, Gwen Laster, Elinor Levy, Barbara Masterson, Susan Miiller, Shirley Parker-Benjamin, Leon Tillman, LisaDeLoria Weinblatt
